Allen Hayes writes: "In shape, color
and design, this little piece is typical of early 20th-century Nampeyo
work, a time when she and her eldest daughter Annie often collaborated,
with Nampeyo making the pot and Annie doing the painting. It's hard
to say exactly who did what precisely, but the piece has all the earmarks
of family work. Martha Streuver looked at this and said "Nampeyo or
Annie."."
