This is a sweet miniature by award-winning potter, Dorothy Torivio, from Acoma
Pueblo. Dorothy's work has been highlighted in not only Indian Art books,
but books on mathematics as well. She paints with a traditional yucca
brush, and the design is applied without benefit of rulers or other measuring
tools. She paints black on white, which is the reverse of the way your eye
perceives it. This miniature vase is a great example of her work, and
priced well.
